Collective worship at St Johns is a key part of the school’s mission statement “Hand in hand we pray together, learn together and grow together”
It is also central to the school’s three core Christian values: Love, Forgiveness and Creativity which weave through all aspects of the life of the school.
Collective worship helps contribute to the school’s common vision that all pupils are valued and unique and recognised as being special. Good relationships, grounded in Christian values, are strengths of the school and crucial for pupil’s moral, intellectual and spiritual development.
It also contributes to the celebration of diversity in our community and reinforces that all groups are valued.
We are all different but in God’s eyes are the same.
Collective worship id delivered in a variety of forms- whole school, key stage and class assemblies so learners can increase their spiritual awareness through quiet reflection and prayer.
