Pupils Rules for Responsible Internet Use
All pupils use computer facilities, including internet access, as an essential part of learning, as required by the National Curriculum. Both pupils and their parents/carers are asked to sign to show that the E-Safety Rules have been understood and agreed.
- I will only go into the system with my own login and password, which I will keep secret;
- I will not access other people’s files;
- I will only use the computers with staff approval;
- I will not bring in pen drives/memory sticks or any other electronic media devices into school;
- I will only e-mail people I know with permission;
- The messages I send will be polite and responsible;
- I will not give my home address, telephone number, personal details or arrange to meet someone;
- I will not give out other people’s information;
- I will show a member of staff any unpleasant material or inappropriate messages sent to me. I know anything I say will be confidential and will help protect other pupils and myself;
- I know that the school will check my computer files and will monitor the Internet sites I visit.

Parent’s Consent for Internet Access:
I have read and understood the school E-Safety Rules and give permission for my son/daughter to access the internet. I understand that the school will take all reasonable precautions to ensure that pupils cannot access inappropriate materials but I appreciate that this is a difficult task.
I understand that the school cannot be held responsible for the content of materials accessed through the internet. I agree that the school is not liable for any damages arising from use of the internet facilities provided by the school.
