River study
To begin our Summer term, Year 5 and 5/6 went on a river study.
We visited three different sites of the river Dane with the Stanley Head leaders.
Site one was the river source. Sites two and three were further down the river.
We examined rocks to look at the effects of erosion at various points down the river.
At site three we saw a tributary and confluence, and then measured different parts of the river.
It was great fun as we got to stand in the water in our wellies. Some people got a little wet!
